Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Network Technician to support the operation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment in central offices. This is a remote role and is critical to ensuring reliable and efficient service delivery across both legacy infrastructure and next-generation technologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, solid troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technicians will provide remote support to on-site personnel during hardware installations, configurations, upgrades, and acceptance testing. They will guide field technicians or local staff through procedures as needed.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain telecommunications systems remotely where possible, using centralized software tools and remote-access platforms.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and modify software programs used for network configuration and device control.
- Perform network turn-up testing and resolve service issues across voice and data networks.
- Maintain and support customer-designed networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Reliable internet connection and remote work setup.
- Availability to work non-standard hours as needed by the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a related field or at least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience.
- Experience with Fiber Optic technology.
- A+ Certification.
- Network+ Certification or equivalent knowledge in:
- Networking Fundamentals
- Network Implementations
- Network Operations
- Network Troubleshooting
- Network Security
