Summary:

  • We are looking for a Cloud Engineer who can design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure to support our organization's growth and innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous learning. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
  • This is for a short term / hourly based project.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions using leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Implement and maintain cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security, based on industry best practices and organizational requirements.
  • Develop and automate cloud deployment, configuration, and management processes using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
  • Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability, leveraging services such as auto-scaling, load balancing, and serverless computing.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security, and implement proactive measures to ensure uptime and compliance.
  • Implement security controls and best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support cloud-native application development, containerization, and microservices architecture.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for cloud-related projects, migrations, and initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues, working closely with internal teams and cloud service providers.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services offered by major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure automation and orchestration tools, such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
